For Immediate Release
Issued: November 9, 2016

Montréal, QC – Industry leaders came together under one roof for InterSaw, the International Sawmilling Expo, which took place at Montreal’s internationally renowned Olympic Stadium, November 2-3, 2016.

This event was once again co-located with Canada Woodworking East. Combined, the shows welcomed 2,800 buyers, with 1,023 walking the floor for InterSaw and 1,781 for Canada Woodworking East. These two industry events perfectly complement one another to meet the demands of the multifaceted Canadian forest industry.

“I’ve heard many reports of signed contracts in hand and deals being closed on the floor,” said Shawn Murphy, Show Manager. “By all accounts, serious customers were in attendance; exhibitors were impressed with the quality of visitors at the show.”

InterSaw featured the latest equipment and services for the sawmilling industry. Its focus is on the full spectrum of technology – from influences in the log-yard, through primary and secondary breakdown, to the final shipping of the product. Buyers travelled from across Canada and the northeastern United States to attend the show.

This year’s edition featured an extensive educational component as part of its program. The cutting-edge seminar series covered diverse topics of interest to a wide variety of industry professionals, and was well-received and very well-attended. Additionally, the show’s “Innovative Products” program highlighted an exciting selection of new products and technologies.
